Kevin: We just left Sci-Fi City in Orlando and I still had the urge for Krispy Kreme. I have had a longing for it for months before coming, but it got 100 times worse once I knew I was a short drive to one. Aimee and I attempted to find one on the way back from St. Petersburg, but ended up getting lost and delaying our return to home by a half hour. Well I used my Hot Light App on my Smartphone and located a spot only 10 minutes away. We drove over and as we were walking in, we see the backroom through the glass and dozens of fresh doughnuts being made. They were being fried, then guided over to a waterfall of heavenly glaze. The person at the counter offered us fresh doughnuts off the line and we were happy to accept. We bought a dozen and we took them to our car. We wanted to try one hot off of the line. We took a bite….I needed a moment of silence to savor the experience called Krispy Kreme. It was the BEST doughnut I ever had. Eating it right off of the line was a big bonus. It is a shame there is not one nearby…they would get my business once a week at least. Hot doughnuts are the best doughnuts!
Aimee: Never having had it before but always hearing about it on TV or from friends (or my hubby) and I was totally stoked to finally be able to try Krispy Kreme for myself! As Kevin said, we walked in, saw the assembly line of toasty brown doughnuts steaming up the glass enclosure, I thought I was in heaven. I'm not a huge cake-food person like my best friend and supergirls partner in crime Rachael, but I like doughnut from time to time. This was most definitely, hands down the best doughnut I have ever had. I hear there is a Krispy Kreme shop at Penn Station....I feel a trip coming on.................. hahah nah. Well, maybe. ;)
