We were seated in bout 10 minutes. I had sweet tea and I think she had water. We ordered a “Cactus Blossom” for our appetizer. It is extremely similar to Outback’s Blooming Onion. It was tasty, but a little too greasy for me. I had a 10oz. Ft. Worth Ribeye Steak with Sautéed Mushrooms (with 6 yummy grilled shrimp!). I was pleasantly surprised with my steak. It was slightly overcooked (I have not found a steakhouse that can properly cook a steak to medium rare, it is always overdone), but it had great flavor. It was too much to finish in one sitting, so I took it home for steak and eggs in the morning. It was a fun time at the Roadhouse.
AIMEE: As Kev said, I was told by my friend Rachael that we HAD to try Texas Road House so it was on our list of places to try while we were down south for our week of vacation. The seating was a little too confining and close for my taste. We sat at a table for 2 and there was like a foot and a half of room between our table & the booth next to us for the waitstaff or diners to pass through. The place was definitely well staffed and our waitress was really upbeat and helpful. I liked the Cactus blossom, it was a lot less spicy than the Bloomin’ Onion from Outback Steakhouse, and I was glad for that. I don’t really like spicy stuff. For my entrée, I really wanted steak after a week of fried shrimp,
